The best way to promote your fundraiser is to sell tickets before the event. It's free advertising and gives you an indication of how many you'll serve.
Along with pre-selling tickets, you'll also want to advertise in your community. Common ways to advertise are Facebook, Twitter, fliers, yard signs, radio, and newspaper. Many newspapers and radio stations will advertise for free if they know it's for a fundraiser!
Ticket prices vary by location, but currently the average adult ticket price is between $8.50 and $10. The average child ticket price is between $5 and $6. We suggest offering a discount of $.50 or $1 for pre-sale tickets.
Serving Line/Carry-Out Amounts
On the day of the event, we will provide you with information regarding how many pieces to put on each plate in the serving line and how many pieces to put in each carry-out.
If we have a difficult time keeping up during the event, keep in mind that serving second helpings in the crowd is number one priority. Once a customer sits down to eat, they don't want to wait on food!
Common Side Dishes & Drinks
Most groups will offer three side dishes. Some common sides are baked beans, green beans, coleslaw, potato salad, chips, and applesauce. We can provide and cook french fries or potato wedges for an extra charge. Common drink options are lemonade, iced tea, orange drink, and water.
